An AI companion parents can guide, review, and understand.

Resona pairs a warm companion experience with parent guidance, memory review, safety visibility, voice controls, and clear credit-based billing.

Why Resona exists

Founded from a real family need.

Resona was founded by Ryan Hassell to address a gap in consistent social support for individuals with complex developmental needs. His sister has Koolen De-Vries Syndrome, and his family experienced firsthand how hard it can be to find reliable, meaningful connection in everyday environments.

The product is built to feel warm and steady while preserving parent visibility, safety guardrails, and accountable oversight.

What parents get

A companion experience with the parent view built in.

Resona keeps guidance, memory, safety, voice, and usage visible in the parent app instead of burying them behind a black box.

Parent dashboard

Recent activity, setup status, open questions, credits, memory, and safety context in one place.

Guided questions

When more context would help, Resona asks parents instead of guessing silently.

Memory review

Review routines, preferences, and durable details before they shape future responses.

Controls and routines

Adjust access, boundaries, routines, tone, and settings as needs change.

Voice provider clarity

Choose OpenAI voices for lower credit use or ElevenLabs voices for more expressive audio.

Credit visibility

Understand the usage behind messages, voice, memory, images, and web context.

Customization

Make Resona feel like theirs.

Families can shape the companion so it feels familiar, expressive, and personal from the start.

Choose the look. Pick from the built-in Resona anchors or make your own Resona with a style that fits your family.

Choose the voice. Tune the voice direction with OpenAI or ElevenLabs options, balancing expressiveness and credit use.

Shape the personality. Adjust routines, tone, interests, boundaries, and parent guidance as needs change.

More to come

Regular content updates are planned, including new activities, conversation experiences, routines, and companion improvements as Resona learns what families need most.

Content filters, safety, and privacy

Built so parents can feel confident about the experience.

Resona is designed for families who want a warmer companion experience without giving up boundaries, review, or privacy expectations.

Content filters

Age-aware guardrails for sensitive topics.

Safety filters help reduce sexual, violent, abusive, self-harm, and other age-inappropriate content before it becomes part of the experience.

Parent visibility

Parents can see the context that matters.

Activity context, memory highlights, safety events, guided questions, routines, and credit usage stay visible from the parent side.

Privacy expectations

Family data is handled with clear purpose.

Resona uses account and conversation information to provide the service, support safety features, and operate billing. Personal information is not sold.

Boundaries and limits

Helpful support, not a replacement for care.

Parents can adjust controls as needs change. Resona is not an emergency, medical, legal, or crisis service.

No AI system is perfect, so Resona keeps parents in the loop with review, settings, and safety context rather than asking families to trust a hidden black box.

Pricing

Simple plans, clear credits.

Each household starts with one active child profile included. Additional active child profiles are $12.99/month on Resona with 1,000 monthly credits, or $20/month on Resona+ with 1,500 monthly credits. Additional credits can be purchased when a month needs more room.

FAQ

Straight answers for parents.

How is Resona different from ChatGPT?

ChatGPT is a general-purpose assistant. Resona is designed around ongoing companionship, parent guidance, memory, safety visibility, and account-level controls.

What can parents see?

Parents can review activity context, memory highlights, safety events, open guidance questions, controls, and usage from the app.

How does memory work?

Resona carries forward durable context such as routines, preferences, and helpful details. Parents can review what is being remembered and update guidance.

How do voice choices affect credits?

OpenAI voices use fewer spoken-audio credits. ElevenLabs voices can sound more expressive, but use more credits per spoken character.

How do billing and credits work?

Plans include monthly credits. If included credits run low, parents can see what used them and purchase additional credits when needed.

Does a parent or guardian need to approve access first?

Yes. A parent, legal guardian, or authorized caregiver must complete consent before a child profile can use companion chat or voice features.

Can voice be turned off?

Yes. Voice/audio features are separate from text chat, so families can keep Resona text-only or enable voice when they are ready.

What safety filters are included?

Resona uses content filters and moderation checks to help reduce age-inappropriate, sexual, violent, abusive, self-harm, and other sensitive content. No AI system is perfect, so parent visibility and controls stay part of the product.

Is Resona private?

Resona uses information to operate the companion, support safety features, show parent-visible context, improve reliability, and manage billing. Personal information is not sold.

Can families customize the companion?

Yes. Parents can shape the companion's look, voice provider, tone, routines, interests, boundaries, and guidance so it feels familiar and appropriate for the person using it.

How do additional child profiles work?

One active child profile is included with each household plan. Additional active child profiles are $12.99/month on Resona with 1,000 monthly credits, or $20/month on Resona+ with 1,500 monthly credits. Each active profile gets its own Resona setup.

Can consent be revoked later?

Yes. Parents can revoke consent from the portal. Revocation disables chat and voice access for that child profile while historical records may be retained only as needed for legal, security, accounting, or safety reasons.

Is Resona therapy, medical care, or emergency support?

No. Resona is an AI companion and communication support tool. It is not medical care, therapy, diagnosis, legal advice, crisis support, or an emergency service.
